Overview

This activity type presents a gallery of images to the user and a series of questions. Using the images, they will answer to the best of their ability and, when there have been enough questions asked to reach a conclusion, they will be presented with their answer versus the correct answer based on their responses.

Features

Dichotomous Key

This activity allows you to ask branching questions that are used to identify something by using a dichotomous key. After all the necessary questions have been asked, it will show the visitors answers alongside the expected answer.

Images

This activity type accepts images in the PNG and JPG file format.

Each possible response for the dichotomous key can have an image and a rich text description.

Examples

Beaver Skull

This activity shows collection images of a Beaver skull and asks the user questions to attempt to identify the specimen. After enough questions have been asked, it will see if they got the right answer through correctly assessing the skulls. This activity was one of twelve like it used as part of a live facilitated lesson about mammal skulls and teeth.
